The Instructor Account
What's different about an instructor account — the dashboard, workshop management, and admin access.
Instructor accounts unlock the teacher dashboard, workshop management, and a direct link to the admin panel.
Creating an instructor account
During registration, select Instructor / Teacher from the role dropdown. That's all — no approval needed.
What instructors can do
- Create and manage workshops with unique join codes
- Pin specific modules to all students in a workshop
- View the instructor dashboard with class-wide progress
- Close workshops when a class is finished
Admin access
The admin panel (/admin/content) is available to anyone with the URL — it's not restricted to instructor accounts by default. In a school deployment, restrict access by IP or add password protection at the web server level.
Student view vs. teacher view
The platform content is identical for both roles — teachers learn the same material. The difference is the extra dashboard link in the nav menu and the ability to create workshops.
Running a demo? Use a student account for the learner view so you see exactly what your students see.
